What media software do I need?
To watch a video you will need Adobe Flash player on your computer. Adobe Flash Download.
We recommend using Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 9 and above, as these browsers are the most trustworthy when it comes to streaming video.
If you encounter difficulty playing a video, please check your internet connection is consistent and you have a reliable browser in use.
What do I do if the page or video is not loading?
Close other browser tabs and windows, so your internet connection can focus on streaming the video and slides. Try pausing the video, and letting it load up before pressing play.
Make sure you have the latest version of Flash and an optimised browser open to play the video.
It may be that your organisation is preventing videos from being played on the internal computers.
Please check with your IT support to see if this is the case and whether the block can be lifted.
If you are using your home computer and the video or page is not loading, please check your internet connection. If other people are using the broadband at the same time as you, this could slow down the service.

It could be because you are trying to access it somewhere where heavy internet use by other people may be slowing down your connection. You could check other video websites to see whether you experience similar connection problems. This site is designed for broadband users, so you will not be able to access it on a dial-up connection.
If the video or page is slow to load, it usually means that the site is working well but the internet connection or browser you are using is not optimised to stream video, so please check your internet connection or try using a different browser.
What do I do if the video stops and starts while I am watching it?
Try pausing the video, and letting it load up before pressing play.

It may be that lots of people are trying to access the site at the same time. We have endeavoured to provide robust servers but at times of high traffic we cannot guarantee a seamless user experience.
Please be patient and check your internet connection, or try using a different browser.
What do I do if the sound on the video is not working?
You could try refreshing your web page. Please note that your computer has sound controls accessible from the control panel and that the video player has sound controls which appear in the player window.
What do I do if it says I am "behind a firewall"?
It may be blocking the video content and you may need to access the site from a different location. To check whether it is a firewall issue try accessing another video website.
What do I do if the slides and video are out of sync?
If it looks like the slides and video are appearing out of sync, please contact us so we can look at the slide timings and check that they are correct.
